She's exotic. She's technotic. Meet Anarobik on OPERATOR'S MANUAL, a cool new project from bobby trempealeau, master of electronic pop. I like everything about this album, from it's clever name and crisp graphic, to the mysterious, trance-inducing final track, Medication. Ana's message is refreshingly positive. We can create our own reality - why not make it better while we're at it. To the synth-pop aficionados: I found strains reminiscent of synth pioneers Devo and Kraftwerk, along with melodic wisps invoking OMD with a touch of Depeche Mode. To the neophytes: this will be an intriguing melodic foray into the genre, a great place to begin. I enjoy having new electronic music blended with a new aesthetic. My favorite tracks: 'Static'; the jazzy 'Your Heroine'; and 'Outside'. Warning: 'Outside' has the potential to stick in one's head; I woke up inexplicably upbeat on several occasions. Note to the Purists: this album is also being released on vinyl, so rev up the turntable and take Anarobik for a spin!" :: TheCat:: Control-Alt-Delete "Anarobik, the lastest in an illustrious line of artists from Minneapolis, offers a delectable music loving experience. The music is a fresh, new and totally relevant addition to today's ever-changing music scene. I thoroughly enjoy it! Operator's Manual is a well-written, remarkably aesthetic take in the classic synth-pop tradition! Pure fun!" TSB M. Connoisseur 'Anarobik is a truly bold and original exploration and re-interpretation of electronic pop and other alternative music from the 80's and beyond, with an eye on positivity and fun. It's like being on a rollercoaster of beats and melody with a surprising richness of editorial content, like a fine Belgian chocolate, tasty on the surface, but truly amazing if you really pay attention to it.' Robert E. Midge Unlimited 'It's the times. They're a-changin'. Something's blowin' in the wind.' Edna Turnblad.
