2014 vinyl LP pressing reissue of the 1966 soundtrack. Both the film and it's soundtrack are legendary. Future movie star and major film director Clint Eastwood starred in this third installment of a film trilogy whose style became known as a "Spaghetti Western." Sergio Leone directed the film and his go-to guy, renowned Italian musician-composer-conductor-arranger Ennio Morricone wrote the music. In the most traditional sense, the music accompanies the storyline and on-screen action of this Western -with it's gunfights, violence and the inevitable search for gold-that was captured on film with exquisite cinematography. But the music registers solidly on it's own with it's dynamics, melodic compositions and, of course, the highly memorable and unique whistling and exotic wah-wah sound of the main title that opens this original album reissue on vinyl.
