Comedian Kyle Kinane is popular with the punks, booked as if he were a band at events like the Fest in Gainesville and Awesome Fest in San Diego. He's also popular with people who like to laugh, with internet sensations like explaining the Haymarket Riot for Drunk History, Comedy Central specials, two albums (including one recorded at the Upright Citizens Brigade theater), and TV appearances with Conan O'Brien, Carson Daly and Adam Carolla. According to Wikipedia, Kinane was "Purple" in an earlier version of pop-punk sensations Masked Intruder, which is probably a lie, but who cares. Kyle's friends the Slow Death are a punk band from Minneapolis in the tradition of (and sharing members with) bands like Dillinger Four and Off with Their Heads. It's whiskey-soaked sad music that sometimes makes you feel better. For this EP, the Slow Death present covers of two jams originally by Richmond punk hero's the (Young) Pioneers as the flip-side to Kyle Kinane's weird story about saving a skunk. The full-color cover art is by Mitch Clem and Joe Dunn with a first pressing of 330 on skunk piss yellow and 220 on black death colored vinyl, all this and an MP3 download code. This record doesn't really make any sense but we're really excited about it and hope you are too.
