Clear vinyl LP with DVD and blueprint - Hand numbered with invisible ink and limited to 500. After a few years of consistently dazzling live audiences in that most-jaded Earthbound portal of New York City Long Distance Poison have released compositions via Thurston Moore's label Ecstatic Peace and Steve Moore's imprint VCO Long Distance Poison (with production by Brendon Ander egg of Mountains) have now created two pieces of true experimentation: Signals to a Habitable Zone. Long Distance Poison have utilized two distinct signals (songs for the stars) also set to visual accompaniment by director Matthew Caron and included on a separate DVD. Signals to a Habitable Zone succeeds because it dares to deploy all of the appropriate bleeps and whirrs calculated to send listeners spinning into a deep trance yet they don't sound like anyone but themselves. Bravo.
